I am a CPA and I work for a large multi-national company. I wanted to start a 501c3 to raise funds for senior dogs and the remedies for their common maladies. With my background I felt confident that I could form the corporation by following the guidelines on IRS.gov. Well, good luck with that! I conferred with an attorney in our legal department at work and he indicated I shouldn't try to do it on my own because if it isn't done correctly I could risk losing exempt status at some future date. His advice led me to find this book. After reading this book I better understood what my attorney associate had told me about the risks. After interviewing a couple of law firms, I ended up hiring Chisholm do the work and I have not been disappointed. As with all start-ups, financial resources are limited, and they worked with me to arrange a payment plan. I had my 501c3 up and running within a very short period of time. I would definitely refer this books to other associates considering starting their own 501c3. I have also referred family members to Chisholm for other legal services. I feel that anyone who puts the effort into writing a book, and sharing their knowledge on a complicated subject, is worth listening to.

When I decided to start a 501c3 nonprofit, I came to Amazon and started researching books to help me get some insight on this business. I came to the book and purchased it in paperback. I started reading and could not put it down. I am blown away with the amount of information Ms. Chisholm has compiled into this book. This book should be considered "The Bible" for nonprofit companies.

Attorney Chisholm knows what she's talking about when it comes to starting and running a 501c3! I recommend this book if you'd like to do the same.
